Our Company
KiteFix was founded in 2003 on a crazy idea of providing kiteboarding riders with products that allow them to fix their kites themselves. The first version of the KiteFix Complete Kit was developed and tested our local beach in Oka, Quebec, Canada, and the response from riders was beyond expectation. One local rider was so excited about this novel new concept that he would run up and down the beach, preaching to all who would listen….unofficially KiteFix's first sales person. Clearly there was a demand for a product that allowed kiters to fix their own kites. Now, with over 280 dealers worldwide, Kitefix products can be found almost everywhere, from the most remote corners of the globes hidden beaches to your local kite store. Our mission and focus is to continue to develop and improve products that allow riders all over the world to easily, quickly and permanently fix their kites themselves, so they never miss another session.

Our Team
Jean Francois Dupras – Co-founder and visionary.
If you have ever had the chance to ride with Jean Francois and got in trouble on the water, he would be the first one to come to your help. His helpful attitude and entrepreneurial spirit are most likely the key qualities that led to the birth of KiteFix. Like many of us Jean Francois transitioned from windsurfing to kiting when the sport emerged in the late 1990's. Always ready to catch a session, Jean Francois is usually the first on the water and the last off. He is a man of many passions including travelling to kiteboarding locations and spending time with his family.
Francis Roy – Co-founder, President and Operations Mgr
Francis brings to the table a wealth of computer expertise, graphic design and an ability to find a solution to almost any problem. He also is the inspiration behind the rider in the company logo.
A fantastic rider who is always willing to share a trick or tip at the local beach. Francis likes to unplug with his family by taking his RV and just driving south until the water and wind are warm enough to ride without rubber.
Mark Rivers – Sales and Marketing Manager
With KiteFix since March 2009, Mark brings a strong history of sales, business development and product marketing to the team. Mark started on the water as a windsurfer in the early 1980's and picked up kiting in 2001. When not working or riding, Mark is likely doing something with his wife and two young, energetic kids. Some of Mark`s thoughts on life and balance… "Plan for the future like you are going to live to be 100 and live in the present like you are going to die tomorrow."
Aline Laurin – Packaging and Shipping
Aline has been with KiteFix from the beginning and is an integral part of the team. Responsible for packaging and shipping all orders, Aline ensures that orders roll out the door in a timely manner. Without Aline, the rest of us would not be able to do our jobs, which becomes abundantly clear when she is away on vacation.
